RETURNS Returns MUST be accompanied by the original receipt. We cannot accept returns on damaged merchandise. YOU HAVE 48 HOURS TO RETURN FOR A FULL REFUND on new or used equipment. Any day we are closed does not count as part of this time period. You have one week from the date of purchase to return new or used merchandise for EXCHANGE CREDIT at 100% purchase value OR a refund MINUS a 20% restocking fee. "Clearance" items are sold "as is" - no returns, refunds, exchanges, or credit. (For items shipped, please see our Shipping Policy.) WARRANTIES You have a one-week repair or replacement (our option) warranty on all USED equipment under normal use. After one week, any repair will be charged to the customer. You have 2 weeks in-store repair or replacement (our option) warranty on all NEW equipment. After 2 weeks, customer must refer to manufacturer's warranty on NEW equipment. Repairs performed due to other than normal use will be charged to the customer. LAYAWAYS We require a 25% down-payment of the total purchase price to hold an item on layaway. Layaways under $300.00 are due in 30 days. Anything above $300.00 can be negotiated at the time of purchase. A restocking fee of 20% of any amounts paid is charged if the customer defaults on the layway or exchanges for other merchandise, and on overdue layaways that have been returned to the floor for non-payment according to the specified terms. The remainder of the payments made (after the 20% restocking fee has been charged) will be refunded via EXCHANGE CREDIT. No cash refunds. REPAIRS We guarantee all of our guitar repairs to your 100% satisfaction, based on the expectations discussed when the repairs are brought in to our store. You will be contacted via telephone when the repair is completed. Items for repair that are not claimed within 30 days of notice of completion become the property of The Trading Musician. FORMS OF PAYMENT We accept most Cashier's Checks, Money Orders, Debit Cards, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express (in U.S. dollars only). Please see special payment rules for items shipped under our Shipping Policies. SHIPPING Receive it and love it! Most people do, but if something's not right, we offer 48 hours approval time. If you'd like to return an item, contact us within 48 hours of receipt and we will send a full refund, minus shipping fees upon our receipt of the item. Cost of return shipping is the responsibility of the customer. We cannot accept personal checks for items shipped. We accept money orders, wire transfers and cashier's checks, but must delay shipping until we can verify that funds have been deposited to our account, usually within 10 business days. All funds must be in U.S. dollars only.
